What is Time To Teach™?

TTT Book 80Time To Teach™ is a research and evidence based, highly successful set of classroom management strategies that tens of thousands of teachers are using and have been using for over four decades.

Research shows that teachers lose an average of 5-9 hours a week dealing with student minor misbehavior.

Much of this lost time is a direct result of student behavior and being off task that stops instruction, because teachers are not trained to effectively deal with and eliminate these behaviors.  Time To Teach™ is designed to reclaim that time and use it for PRODUCTIVE instruction.

Schools, districts, and teachers that undergo the nationally-acclaimed training developed by the Center for Teacher Effectiveness, routinely report a surge in: test scores, student on-task time, teacher job satisfaction, time available to teach more curriculum, and parent/community involvement and support.

In his book, “What Works in Schools”, Dr.  Robert Marzano said, “Success in the classroom will occur when one area is mastered. That area is classroom management.” His research shows classroom management can make a huge difference on students’ achievement gains-maybe as much as 20 percentile points. Dr. Marzano’s research also proves effective teachers should possess a set of skills necessary to meet diverse student needs.

I appreciated that we didn't have to sit and listen all day.  The group activities were productive and enjoyable."
